2006 BFLW Rally Address in Madison, WI
And yet, year after year, after stupefying year, we turn away as a nation from the truth that abortion is the taking of human life, and the shedding of innocent blood. We cover it up by calling it by a different name. WE CALL IT CHOICE!!! Almighty God has something to say to those who practice such subterfuge. Listen, for "I HAVE A MESSAGE FROM GOD UNTO THEE." (Judges 3:20b) "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight... Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him! Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: BECAUSE THEY HAVE CAST AWAY THE LAW OF THE LORD, AND DESPISED THE WORD OF THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL." (Isa. 5:20-21,23-24.) DEAR FRIENDS, AMERICA IS IN TROUBLE WITH ALMIGHTY GOD! Have you ever wondered why there is such a strong movement in our land to remove the Ten Commandments from public view? It is because they DESPISE the Word of the Holy One of Israel and His holy law — THOU SHALT NOT KILL!(The premeditated taking of innocent human life.) Even President Harry Truman, with whom I rarely agree, said it well when he declared to the Attorney General's Conference in February, 1950: "The fundamental basis of this nation's laws was given to Moses on the Mount. The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teachings we get from Exodus and St. Matthew, from Isaiah and St. Paul. I don't think we emphasize that enough these days. If we don't have a proper fundamental moral background, we will finally end up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in rights for anybody except for the state." How right Truman was, because every one of the greatest tyrannies of the last century: Nazism, Italian Fascism, Soviet and Chinese Communism; all have this in common: they DESPISED THE LAW OF THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL. We don't have to wonder what men like Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, George Washington, or Benjamin Franklin would say about abortion-on-demand today. They, with one accord, would cry out: "IT IS AN ABOMINATION, IT IS WICKEDNESS IN THE EXTREME!!!" When our Founders set up this nation, it was assumed by all that her citizens would always remain God fearing people who loved the Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. James Madison, the man who knew better than anyone the intent of the Founders, wrote these words: "We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self government; upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern OURSELVES, to control OURSELVES, to sustain OURSELVES, ACCORDING TO THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF GOD." Never in their wildest imagination did they ever foresee that the American people themselves would become ungodly, and then allow the government to fall into the hands of the unrighteous. THAT IS HOW WE GOT ROE-V-WADE FOLKS! Remember, it is written," WHEN THE RIGHTEOUS ARE IN AUTHORITY THE PEOPLE REJOICE, BUT WHEN THE WICKED BEARETH RULE THE PEOPLE MOURN." And that is why we have met her today: to mourn the death of FIFTY MILLION of our fellow citizens. Now, "I HAVE A MESSAGE FROM GOD UNTO THEE," THOU UNJUST JUDGES OF THE NATION! "Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed." (Isa. 10:1) IF ROE-V-WADE IS NOT AN UNRIGHTEOUS DECREE, AND THE MURDER OF FIFTY MILLION TINY HUMAN BEINGS IS NOT GRIEVOUSNESS, THEN PLEASE, PRAY TELL ME, WHAT IS IT? But AH, dear friends, there is coming a day when all the unrighteous judges will stand before the Righteous Judge, The Judge of All the Earth; Whose eyes are as a flame of fire, and His voice as the sound of many waters. THERE WILL BE NO PLEA BARGAINS AT THE GREAT ASSIZE OF GOD, AND THERE WIL BE NO ESCAPE. Would to God that America would repent of this abominable evil, and overturn Roe-V-Wade. It is possible to do this, and our Founders made provision for it in the Constitution. THAT IS OUR HOPE AND OUR PRAYER AT BAPTISTS FOR LIFE OF WISCONSIN. Thank you for coming today, and may God richly bless you for your personal stand against this detestable practice of abortion on demand. We are gathered here today to remember a most melancholy anniversary. Perhaps it is the saddest event in our
long and glorious history. I refer, of course, to the Roe-V-Wade decision of the Supreme Court of the United States,
on January 22, 1973. Since that horrible day, almost FIFTY MILLION of our fellow citizens have been wickedly deprived
of their most sacred inalienable right, the right to life. No one can enjoy the blessings of liberty, or pursue
happiness until they first have LIFE! And here is what makes all this even worse: it came about because of a lie.
Norma McCorvey, who was the "Jane Roe" of the Roe-V-Wade suit, has recently admitted publicly that her
suit was based upon false information. She made it all up! It was a LIE!!! Even her attorney has also publicly expressed
his regrets for prosecuting the suit in McCorvey's behalf.
