Out of Our Sight But Not Out of His
The Precious Life of Pre-Born Babies

[13] For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. [14] I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. [15] My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. [16] Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. [17] How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! [18] If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee. — Psa 139:13-18

I am the proud grandpa of three children, a boy and girl and as of yet unknown. With the technology that we have today it is possible to know in advance what sex your child will be. When my son and daughter-in-law were expecting their first, my son was building their house so they decided to find out if they were going to have a boy or girl so they could decorate the room accordingly; the Lord moved their ministry and so they were building their third house while my daughter-in-law was expecting their second and yes they decorated the room for a little girl. I have seen pictures of unborn children before and have to be honest I can't say they are the most beautiful babies that I have ever seen and yet God says that He knows all the details of each child.

There are many instances where God indicates His love for little children; but here the Psalmist realizes the depth of God's knowledge of him when he was yet in his mother womb. Verse 13 says thou hast possessed my reins; that is to say you know my most inner and detailed parts. The Psalmist realizing the intimacy that God has with pre-born children causes him to praise the God who created him. (for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works). The next two verses show us that God knows every part of our members even before they are formed from fertilization to birth and throughout our growing years. There is not one thing that is hidden from God. (Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.)

The Bible says that God created each of us in His own image; (Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them). Satan has been attacking God's creation, in one form or another, from the very beginning and he will not stop until God's judgment. Even though Satan has caused sin to enter the human race; Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 6:23a For the wages of sin is death. We are all born with a sin nature and because of sin we find ourselves separated from God. We read in Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Because of His love to us we can find forgiveness. Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Now we read that we don't have to stay separated from God if we confess our sin and accept the payment that Christ has done for us on the cross. Romans 6:23b the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

As you read this you realize that if you have never trusted in Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour because you feel that the sin you have committed may be too great. God said that He loves you so much He gave His Son to die for you. John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Maybe you have accepted Christ as your Saviour but you have gone away from Him into sin and you think He won't forgive you any more. 1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

No matter what you have done or what your condition may be today God loves and cares for you. Mat 11:28 - 30:
[28] Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
