I Care

"Lo, children are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward." (Psalms 127:3). We are all His children.

Pregnancy Center

As I work with the day by day routine at a Pregnancy Resource center I realize the needs in these centers are more involved than anyone can see. The women (girls) that enter the doors of these centers are from many different backgrounds and many different ages. Some are mothers whose child is born, while others are expecting their first child to be born. Both are in need of some kind of assistance. That is why they have come to a pregnancy resource center. We are to be there to help them in their time of need, no matter what their need may be. As I work with these women I want to be there for them as a friend, someone that they know they can count on, someone that they know really cares about them on a personal basis. They need someone who will tell them what they need to hear, and someone that will listen to them when they need a sounding board.

Some have support from family and friends; others have no support at all. These are in need of a person who will be there for them as they go through the situation in which they find themselves. They have fears, as we all do about the unknown, not knowing what to do, how to act, or where to go for help. At the pregnancy centers we know that God has sent us these women, to guide them in a way that would please Him.

It is very important that as we deal with people who come into our lives, no matter where we are working, that we are reminded that "each life is precious to God", they are God’s gift (Psalms 127:3). We need to reach them for Christ and then help them to grow in a life that is honoring to our Lord.

ChosenGod has something for each of us to do. It is a wonderful thing to be chosen of God. He may ask you to do a task that may be small and never known by others, but it is the task that God has just for you to do. We may feel that we are not able to do what He has asked of us that we can’t do this alone. In Hebrews 13:5 it says "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." God has promised us that we can do the task through the strength that He will give us. Remember the verse in Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengthenth me". It was once said that no one is ever lost from the Lord; He knows where each one is. He will give us the wisdom and strength to do what He wants us to do if would just ask Him and trust Him.

It may be the ministry that God has given us is to "Dare to Care" about these women that come into these Centers. I know at this point in my life it is the task He has given me. I care about them. I want to help them where they are at now, but I also care about where they will be in the future. Will they be walking with my Lord? Will they still be in a situation that brings fear of the unknown? They don’t need to be living in fear, if we are doing the task that our Lord has given us to do.

We can show them how Jesus is the answer to every problem that they have. All that they need to do is to accept Him as their Lord and Savior and He can give them the strength to face each day no matter what comes their way.

Everyone needs someone, just to give them a word of encouragement, a helping hand or a loving embrace in the name of our loving Savior. It may take just a word or a touch to win that person to Jesus Christ.

"But God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8). Each day I remember that we represent Christ to those that we come in contact with . Do they see Jesus in me each day? There should be a family resemblance. People should be able to know right away that we belong to God’s family. We need to spend time in God’s word daily. A daily walk with Him will help us to learn about His ways of doing things. As we grow closer to Him, we will learn how He wants us to do the task that He has given us and this will bring honor and glory to our Savior.

God has a ministry for every believer. It may not be in public, it may be in your home with your own family caring for their needs. Remember to follow God’s will for your life. It is a wonderful honor to be one of God’s chosen people and to serve Him.

"For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do his good pleasure." (Philippians 2:13). May the Lord Bless you as you serve Him where ever He leads you.
